Rocky Hills Ranch summer horse camps are guaranteed to be the best week of the summer. Our well trained horses and enthusiastic riding instructors create the perfect atmosphere for fun while remaining safe. Throughout the week campers will learn many valuable horse skills, and gain knowledge and confidence. At the end of the week they will showcase what they have learned for their family and friends in an exciting gymkhana style event.

2024 Summer Horse Camps
Week 1: July 1-5 Week 2: July 22-26 Week 3: August 12-16 Summer Horse Camps run from 9:30am - 3:30pm.
Camp space is limited and will fill up quickly but there will be a wait list. Summer camps - $600 (with a $300 non-refundable deposit) |
What to Expect?
Monday: Get to know each other and make teams. Campers will learn how to catch, brush and saddle our horses along with tie their first knot and race to tie it. They will begin to ride on the first day! Tuesday to Thursday: Campers will learn more riding skills and gymkhana games as well as compete in more knot tying races. Depending on the interests of the campers there also may be a bareback day. Friday: Campers will clean tack, and prepare and decorate their horses and tack for the big show where all family and friends are welcome to come watch! |
What to bring?
1. Proper riding attire. Long pants, shirt and cowboy boots or any boot with a heel. 2. Clothes for the weather to ensure campers are prepared and equipped for the weather (for example jacket, gloves, sunglasses, hat ect.) 3. HELMET. All riders must wear a helmet. 4. Lunch and Water. Good lunch and snack, and water bottle. 5.Sunscreen and bug repellent. Rocky Hills Ranch does have a limited number of extra helmets and boots to borrow. |
